When a tree is dead, dying, diseased, storm-damaged or simply outgrowing its space, full removal is often the safest answer. We section-fell from the top down using climbing lines and rigging — vital in tight gardens where straight felling isn't an option.

For open ground, paddocks, woodland and commercial sites we straight-fell trees using directional cuts, wedges and winches where required. Bigger projects are planned around access, fall zones and protected species before a single saw runs.

A well-cut hedge frames a property and adds real kerb appeal. We trim to a true line using long-reach hedge cutters and platforms where needed, taking care to keep the base wider than the top so light reaches the lower growth and the hedge stays thick year after year.

Once a tree is down, the stump is often the bit that stops the garden looking finished. Our specialist grinder chews the stump and surface roots into mulch, working to a depth that suits what you're putting back over the top — turf, planting, patio or driveway.

Typical jobs:

• Single garden stumps, fresh fells or old leftovers
• Multiple stumps across plots, paddocks and developments
• Grinding ahead of new turf, fencing, decking or paving
• Tight-access work via narrow side gates with a compact grinder
• Surface root removal where stumps lift lawns or paths

What's included: grind to 200–300mm below grade as standard (deeper on request), chippings backfilled or removed, and a clean, level finish ready for the next stage.

Tree work creates a serious volume of timber and brash, and getting rid of it properly is half the job. We carry our own chipper and tipping vehicles so everything we cut leaves with us — no skip hire, no piles left for you to deal with.

Typical jobs:

• Full clear-down after our own felling, pruning or hedge work
• Collection of green waste left by storms or other contractors
• Chipping on site for mulch, or removal off site
• Logging up usable timber for firewood (kept for you on request)
• Final rake, blow-down and sweep of paths, drives and lawns

What's included: registered waste carrier disposal, all material recycled into woodchip, biomass or seasoned firewood. Nothing goes to landfill where it can be avoided.

Good pruning isn't about cutting more — it's about cutting the right wood at the right time. We work to BS 3998 industry standards, removing only what the tree needs to stay healthy, safe and well-shaped, with clean cuts that heal cleanly.
